Trendy Feet Tattoos: Henna Tattoo Kits

Posted by admin | Foot Jewelry and Tattoos | Tuesday 19 May 2009 9:18 pm

Yesterday, we discussed temporary tattoo alternatives. Today we will talk about using henna as body art. Henna is a traditional body art used often in India on the hands and feet. This herbal powder is also applied to the hair for special ceremonies. Today, henna body art is preferred as a safe way to decorate the body. Using henna supplies as a temporary tattoo is the best option because it is easy to apply and is an all natural product. There is no worry of abrasive chemicals or damaging the skin. Henna also has antiseptic properties and can be used to treat bruises and burns.

Henna tattoo kits are relatively inexpensive and come with detailed instructions. Henna powder is made from dried plant leaves. When mixed with oil, the henna powder turns into dye, or paste. Henna body art is a brownish-red color in its natural state. Sometimes, chemicals are added to create black or other colors of henna. The henna dye is then used to decorate the body. Once it dries several hours later, you can scrape the henna paste off. The henna is left on the body to ensure that the henna has time to stain the skin. While the paste is drying, it is best to avoid contact with your henna body art. Otherwise, the henna paste will wipe off on your hands and clothes. Henna body art fades away within 2 weeks. If you want to remove it any sooner, body exfoliation creams can be used on the tattoo to speed things up. Washing the area frequently is also effective in fading henna body art faster.

Trendy Feet Tattoos: Temporary Tattoo Alternatives

Posted by admin | Foot Jewelry and Tattoos | Tuesday 19 May 2009 1:39 am

In the third part of our series, we discussed tattoo removal options. Today, we will discuss temporary tattoo alternatives for those who do not want something permanent but want something that looks just as cool. Tattoo alternatives are a safe way to express yourself and are also a great test drive before deciding on a real tattoo. The options we will discuss are temporary tattoo ink, airbrush tattoos and temporary tattoos.

Temporary Tattoo Ink

Temporary tattoo ink is a great option if you want to get creative and make your own designs. The most popular color is black because of the trend in shapes, symbols and characters in tattoo design. The ink comes in a tube and usually comes with some basic stencils, so anyone can have fun with temporary tattoo ink. For even easier application, temporary tattoo ink comes in the form of pens. This ensures more accurate and detailed work. With the variety in color, you can create tattoo designs that are bold and powerful, fun and bright or profound and spiritual. It is a great way to bring out the inner artist in you!

Airbrush Tattoos

With airbrush tattoos, the colors of ink fade into each other and spread evenly onto the skin. The result is a very smooth and very colorful tattoo that looks very realistic! Airbrush tattoos also come with stencils to ensure a clean-cut design. These tattoos usually last one week before they begin to fade.

 Temporary Tattoos

Unlike with other tattoo alternatives, temporary tattoos come in golds, silvers and even glitters. You probably remember temporary tattoos from your childhood days. Depending on the type of temporary tattoo, it may have looked very fake when you were younger but as a child, you probably didn’t care. As long as it looked cool, temporary-tattoo-ink-feet-tattoos-toe-ring-tattoos43before it started to get dirty and turn into an ugly dark gray color, you loved it. There are some temporary tattoos that look very real. These are usually tattoos that you have to paint or rub on.

Temporary tattoo ink, airbrush tattoos and temporary tattoos are all great options to create the tattoo effect without the life commitment. These options come in handy for events like graduations, proms, weddings, parties or the beach.

Trendy Feet Tattoos: Best Tattoo Removal Options

Posted by admin | Foot Jewelry and Tattoos | Monday 18 May 2009 2:19 am

The previous article discussed popular feet tattoo designs and the symbolism behind them. Now we will review options for tattoo removal. There was a time when tattoos were permanent. If you wanted a tattoo, it was a careful, well-thought out decision because it was something you would have for life. However, people desire tattoo removal for several reasons. Some people may regret a tattoo years later because they were drunk, acted on impulse, or felt pressured into it. Other people may no longer be in a relationship with the person they tattooed on their chest.  The best tattoo removal option used to be to hide or cover up your tattoo. Fortunately, there are several new options for the best tattoo removal.

Best Tattoo Removal

Laser or Light Therapy One of the best tattoo removal options is laser or light therapy. Lasers use light to penetrate tattoos-tattoo-removal-laser-tattoo-removaldeep into the skin and break up the ink into tiny fragments. Your immune system will then remove these tiny fragments over time. This best tattoo removal option is the most common, but requires several treatments to completely remove the tattoo. The downside to tattoo removal with lasers is that it is painful and that it may cause scarring. However, new technology continues to focus on minimal scarring during the procedure. Each tattoo removal session costs anywhere from $300-$900 and you may need to come back anywhere from 1-10 times to see results. Light therapy (IPL) is more expensive than laser therapy, but it does not hurt as much and it works better. With IPL, a gel is applied to the skin and a wand is used to release pulses of light onto the tattoo. IPL will cost you about $10 per light pulse! The number of pulses required will depend on the size of your tattoo. These two options are the best tattoo removal options.

Get Another Tattoo! Tattoo artists are very skilled at covering up one tattoo by placing another tattoo on top of it. This is especially easy if you have a tattoo of a sign or symbol. If you choose the right tattoo, it can effectively cover up your old tattoo.

Makeup Using makeup is the best tattoo removal option if you can’t afford laser removal. It is very simple to apply makeup and it is relatively inexpensive to keep up. You may have to cover your tattoo with makeup daily or every few days depending on how often you need to hide your tattoo. To find the right shade of makeup, go to your local store and find a foundation that is as close to your skin color as possible. Ideally, you should try to match the foundation to the area of skin around your tattoo for better results.

Not the Best Tattoo Removal Option

Creams Creams may not be the best tattoo removal option. However, they are worth a try if you don’t want to incur pain and if you do not have enough money for laser tattoo removal. Certain creams are designed to fade the tattoo over the course of a few months. It is not painful and supposedly not damaging to the skin. I have heard that creams may result in scarring, however. A 2 month supply cost just over $100 for popular brands like Tat B Gone and Tattoo off. Creams may be helpful in fading a tattoo so that it is not as bold. However, the chance of a tattoo cream removing your tattoo entirely is unlikely.

Deciding on the best tattoo removal option depends on your own preference. For some, the best tattoo removal is to get rid of the tattoo permanently. Others agree that simply covering up the tattoo is the best tattoo removal option. Technology is advancing rapidly and there is no doubt that there will be another best tattoo removal option soon!
